When I first started brainstorming ideas for my Creative Project, I immediately knew that I wanted to do either something D&D-related, or something art-related. This project is a way to combine them both. It's also my first website!

 

The adventure we're playing is Phandelver and Below, which we played over many sessions in 2024. Session 41 was especially awesome, but to understand why, I need to explain Nina's backstory. Nina studied magic from a fantasy college. In college, Nina kept a tiny dragon as a pet. One day, the dragon attacked a fellow student, Mori, who killed Nina's pet in self-defense. Nina was heartbroken and has held a grudge ever since.

Session 41 was the final conflict between Nina and Mori with both of them running for mayor. We had a debate and Nina gave an in-game on-the-fly speech, which was super fun. During the voting, Mori tried to magically charm people into voting for him. Finnian, our wizard, used more magic to counter Mori's spells. The escalation of spells, distractions, and deceit had all of us laughing so hard. We had such a great time. ​

I made this website as a tribute to that moment, a way to showcase my creativity, improvisation, and role-playing skills, and as an application to Nueva. I used Wix to create the website, Procreate to draw the art, and Google Sheets for the charts. I love my character Nina, and I really enjoyed creating this!
